The SAVONT® is basically suitable for all commercially available soaps.

The classic SAVONT® model is suitable for soaps up to 150 g, and the SAVONT® Jumbo holds larger soaps up to 250 g.

The SAVONT® works according to a proven principle, which we have further developed and perfected:

A strong, specially sealed magnet is held by a high-performance suction cup to tiles, directly on the sink, or on shower partitions (or any other smooth surface). The soap is held in place by the magnet thanks to a metal disc plate that has been carefully designed for this purpose. The plate is pressed into the soap, and thus, your soap floats.

The most common cause of this is soap that is too hard. But don’t worry – you can also use your SAVONT® soap holder with these hard soaps. To make this work, just use a little trick: First, place the soap on a wet washcloth or a wet sponge for one to two hours. This will soften the surface of the soap a little. Then press the metal plate firmly and deeply into the softened soap and spread the softened soap around the plate. Now let it dry completely – done! Now the plate should hold the hard soap securely.

Basically, the suction cup adheres to all smooth, clean surfaces. If it doesn’t, there can be various causes:

  • The surface is rough. Some tiles have a roughened surface. Suction cups generally do not hold well on these tiles.
  • The surface or the suction cup is dirty. When both are clean and dry, the suction cup adheres reliably. Clean the surface and the suction cup; use commercially available dishwashing detergent, for example.

The most common cause of this is soap that is too hard. But don’t worry – you can also use your SAVONT® soap holder with such hard soaps. To make this work, just use a little trick: First, place the soap on a wet washcloth or wet sponge for half an hour. This will soften the surface of the soap a little. Then press the metal plate firmly and deeply into the softened soap and spread the softened soap around the plate. Now let it dry well – done! The plate is now firmly seated in the soap without it being broken.

The most common cause is soap that is too heavy. The SAVONT® Classic is designed for standard soaps up to 150 g. We have developed the SAVONT® Jumbo for heavier soaps up to 250 g. If the soap weight and the SAVONT® soap holder type match, the soap will hold reliably on a vertical angle.

This happens occasionally with too hard or too soft soaps that do not give the plate enough hold. There are two things you can do to keep the plate securely in the soap: First, place the soap on a wet washcloth or a wet sponge for one to two hours. This will slightly soften the surface. Then press the metal plate firmly and deeply into the softened soap and spread the softened soap around the plate. Now let it dry well – done! The plate is now firmly in the soap. Tilt the soap when you remove it from the magnet. This reduces the force acting on the plate. This way, the plate stays securely in the soap.

That shouldn’t normally happen at all. If it does, there is a high probability that a damaged seal is the cause. We seal our magnets with a high-quality, specially developed layer that ensures that the magnet does not come into contact with water or soap. If two magnets strike each other forcefully as a result of their attraction, this seal can be damaged. That is why we have a note in our safety instructions to always bring the magnets together gently.

In extremely rare cases, however, it can also happen that the seal is defective. We try to reject all magnets with damaged seals. Therefore, please contact our customer service at info@savont.de if you have the impression that the seal was defective at the factory.

The SAVONT® soap holder has many practical advantages:

  • The soap is always where you need it
  • You don’t have to put wet soap in a dirty soap dish
  • Your soap always stays clean
  • Your soap always stays in the sink
  • You can use every bit of the soap with no waste
  • Your soap dries completely between uses – that saves soap
  • The SAVONT® soap holder can be attached without drilling or gluing

The SAVONT® soap holder also helps you make a real contribution to environmental protection. By using solid bar soap, you save on packaging such as plastic bottles for shower gel or shampoo.

Using real soap has health benefits as well. Good soap often contains fewer artificial additives and is better tolerated by many people.
